This page should help you with registering a blackbird device and add it’s attached sensors to our system.
To claim a device, you will need to be an Administrator type of an account, that has access to the administration view.
Open the Devices page, found under Administration → Devices
On the Devices page, you should be able to see the Claim Device button on the bottom right corner of the page
Pressing the button opens the “Claim device” dialog. Enter the Device Id found on the front of the device.
After claiming the device, you will be taken to a “Set up sensor” dialog. Here you can set up as many ports as you intend to use. Here you can assign the a name, additional description, and assign to permitted groups. Assigning a sensor to groups allows the users of the system to have access to the sensor, provided they belong to the same group. Please make sure to assign the sensor to the appropriate groups, otherwise you risk users not being able to see it in the system, including the users that registered the sensor in the system.
You do not need to register sensors right away after claiming device. If you wish to register sensors later, the claimed device can be found on the Devices page. Find your claimed device and press on it. That will open a page for that device. There you open the dialog to set up sensor.
